Als die Erde für den Menschen unbewohnbar wurde, besiedelte die herrschende Elite den Planeten Kepler 209. Doch seine Atmosphäre macht die neuen Bewohner unfruchtbar. Zwei Generationen später soll ein Programm feststellen, ob Leben auf der Erde wieder möglich ist: Mission Ulysses II soll Gewissheit bringen. Die Raumkapsel gerät beim Eintritt in die Erdatmosphäre außer Kontrolle. Die Astronautin Blake überlebt die Landung als Einzige – doch sie muss feststellen, dass sie auf der Erde nicht alleine ist. Ein Überlebenskampf beginnt, und Blake muss Entscheidungen treffen, die das Schicksal der ganzen Menschheit bestimmen werden.

Lorsque la Terre est devenue inhabitable pour les humains, l'élite dirigeante a colonisé la planète Kepler 209. Mais son atmosphère rend les nouveaux habitants infertiles. Deux générations plus tard, un programme doit déterminer si la vie sur Terre est à nouveau possible : la mission Ulysse II doit apporter une certitude. La capsule spatiale devient incontrôlable lorsqu'elle entre dans l'atmosphère terrestre. L'astronaute Blake est la seule à survivre à l'atterrissage - mais elle découvre qu'elle n'est pas seule sur Terre. Une lutte pour la survie commence, et Blake doit prendre des décisions qui détermineront le sort de toute l'humanité.

When Earth became uninhabitable for humans, the ruling elite colonized the planet Kepler 209, but its atmosphere made the new inhabitants barren. Two generations later, a program is to determine whether life on Earth is possible again: Mission Ulysses II is to bring certainty. The space capsule gets out of control when it enters the Earth's atmosphere. The astronaut Blake is the only one to survive the landing - but she has to realize that she is not alone on Earth. A fight for survival begins, and Blake must make decisions that will determine the fate of all mankind.
